1 Wide open the hood about the LeSabre and visually locate the fuel rail. The fuel rail is on the top of the engine, directly next to the higher intake manifold. The bottom part of the fuel rail houses the fuel injectors.

2 Remove the green or black cap which insures the fuel pressure testing valve. The valve protrudes from the fuel rail plus has any cap comparable to a valve stem cap out of any wheel. Install the fuel pressure tester onto the pressure testing valve, on the top regarding the fuel rail.

3 Change the ignition key on your LeSabre to the "II" position or accessories position. Spinning the key to this position will activate the fuel pump and cause it to pressurize the fuel system upwards to the engine.

Autozone has a program called "Credit-Any-Instrument." For a small deposit, you can hire tools such as a GM fuel pressure testing package. Upon return of the tool, your deposit is refunded completely. See your local Autozone for details on the "Loan-Any-Tool" program. This task involves working with plus around fuel elements.
