If you have a documents you've printed plus lost the original Word file (DOC) for, retyping the piece is exclusive aggravation. Rather than retyping these files, there's exclusive easier way to convert them inside digital documents. Microsoft Workplace Document Imaging, which remains included with every variation of Workplace, allows you turn printed files into Microsoft Word documents using any Hewlett-Packard (HP) scanner. This gives you more time to refine your work rather other than wasting time retyping it.

Instructions

1 Place the printed paper in your HP scanner also nearby the lid. Press the "Scan" button. Once it has scanned, use the HP scanning software to crop the file and produce clear it displays correctly on the screen. Conserve the file as a Tiff. Repeat this process for every page of the printed document.

2 Wide open Microsoft Office Document Imaging by locating it below "Start," "All Programs," "Microsoft Office" plus "Microsoft Office Tools." If you haven't installed it, place the Microsoft Office installation disc into your optical drive. When the installation window pops up, pick out "Add or Remove Features," and beneath "Office Tools" choose "Microsoft Workplace Document Imaging." Select "Operate All From My PC" plus permit the installation to run.

3 Press "File" in Microsoft Office Document Imaging plus pick "Insert File." Pick out the Tiff file and press "Alright." Repeat this for every scanned page.

5 Read over the document after its been converted to Word. If there are smudges or scribbles on the document, there might be most mistakes. Check for errors previous to saving the file.
