Under Cabinet LED Lighting ..... How To Create Distinction And Style To All Kitchen.

Under cabinet LED lighting is an excellent way to improve any kitchen. A set of LED recessed illumination can liven up and show off your surfaces. It had been a major undertaking to try and install under cabinet LED lighting but fortunately there are equipments available now that make it simple. There are some ways to do the job so stay with me for a few under cabinet LED lighting How-To tips.

When choosing under cabinet LED lighting you have few possibilities. You can select either a small direct spot light or full size recessed fluorescent channels. Both offer an attractive look to accentuate the kitchen. It just depends on personal choice.

For the sake of functionality let's look at installing a set of lights which doesn't need to be hardwired back to your main circuit panel.

The first step is to head down to the hardware store and choose an under cabinet LED lighting tool kit.

When you've decided on the right light for your kitchen, unit installation is a breeze.

Measure the entire length of your shelves. This will determine how many lights you need. A good general guideline is to apply 1 spot light every 18 inches.

Start the first light far enough from the end of the cabinets to provide equal spacing of all the lamps.

Get a few small finish nails to tack the LED lights to the bottom of the cabinets. Be sure the nail is short enough that it won't protrude completely through the bottom of the cabinet.

Continue tacking lights up until you reach the end of the string.

Put an inline splice to the under cabinet lighting wiring as close as possible to an electrical outlet. The cabinet lighting kit should have this included in it.

Now splice the electrical switch of the lighting into this wire. Cut off any excess line and link up an electrical plug to the end of the wire.

Next work with a staple gun to staple up the electrical wiring. Be careful to center the wire in the staple to avoid cutting into the wire. If the wire is too long to lay flush in straight line between the lights you can snake it along the underside of the cabinet. Since the wires and lights are hidden it doesn't matter how the wiring is run, you can't see it.

The final step is to finish work on the lights. Working through the light string, pop bulbs into the sockets ensuring they're tight. After all the lights are installed simply snap on the classy coverings and that's it, you're done!

Connect the LED lights and turn the switch. Stick your head under the counter making sure that all the LED lights come on.

These few under cabinet LED lighting How-To ideas can help assist in the installation of a new kitchen lighting system. There are plenty of alternatives, all you need to do is spend a little time looking for just the most appropriate one that works best for your kitchen.
