How to Avoid Making Expensive Mistakes with Your Website's Title Tags

They may not mean the difference between success or failure for your business but they're quite important to a bunch of different parts of your SEO. Title tags are used differently with social media, but you do not have to do anything different with them that departs from established convention.
Not so long ago, the title tags for your site were used completely for SEO, search engines and search marketing. This isn't actually the case any more. The shift in exclusivity is because of social media. For example, let's say a site is shared through social media, what do you suppose is going to show up on this page? Yep, it is the all important title tag, which is the primary reason that you use the most highly relevant keyword phrases from that page or that home page. Another thing that is important and concerns the original intention behind the title tag is that Google uses these mentions on social media as one of the factors through which ranking occurs. When you have a new site to make, make sure that you use a lot of variation with SEO as a foundation. You should include both phrases that are harder to rank for as well as easier phrases. PR for your easy pages - this should be your primary initial focus. It is important that you do the easy phrases, but do not neglect back links for the harder pages. You can rank for harder phrases by simply getting your easier pages ranked first. This is the easiest way to accomplish this. This is not a new strategy, but if you are new to IM this will give you a very solid plan that you can do.

This is one page that usually is safe. If you do happen to see it, this means that people do not know what they are doing. Most people do not optimize a website for the word Home Page. If they are, this is a rare occurrence. You should not do this. It is something you want to avoid doing.
