You may set awake a firmware password on your Mac PC.

On an Apple computer working the Mac OS X operating program, you may set or change a firmware password. Creating a firmware will allow you to force users to log in when attempting to accomplish different method performs, wish disc booting, harmless booting plus resetting the PC's PRAM. Being an administrator, you may reset some computer's firmware password at any one time by using the OS X installation disc.

Things You'll Need

Mac running OS X 10.5 or later Mac OS X installation DVD

1 Put in the Mac OS X installation DVD into your disc drive, restart your computer also then hold down the "C" key whereas the system reboots.

3 Go to the "Utilities" menu at the top of the screen also select "Firmware Password Utility."

4 Verify the box subsequent to "Call for password to change Open Firmware settings."

5 Enter the new password you want to utilize in the "Symbol" and "Verify" fields.

6 Hit the "Ok" button to reset the firmware password and then quit the utility system.

7 Restart your computer once again. Now when users try to perform firmware purposes on the computer, they will be forced to enter the new firmware key.
