Solar panels can be used to power a receiver if t is connected to the right size power inverter.

100-watt receiver 100-watt or higher power inverter 12-volt car battery Two12-volt Solar panels. Solar Power.

1 Check the power requirement of the receiver. The power inverter applied to assistance this receiver must get a power rating equal to or greater other than the power requirement of the receiver. With example, some 100-watt receiver can be powered by means of a 100-watt or 200-watt inverter but it cannot be powered by some 50-watt inverter.

2 Plug the receiver into the power inverter's electrical outlet. Connect the positive red wire away from the power inverter to the positive terminal of the auto battery. Connect the negative black wire away from the inverter to the negative terminal regarding the battery.

3 Connect the two 12-volt solar panels within parallel by way of connecting the positive terminal of the first solar panel to the helpful terminal regarding the minute unique. Too link two negative terminals jointly. Connect the positive terminal of the first solar panel to the favourable terminal of the battery.
