Omega-3 fatty acids are from some group of lipids considered the "beneficial fats." There are two kinds of Omega-3 fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), and the American Heart Association recommends different portions depending on any existing heart conditions.
