The lamp timer must be reset to zero once the new bulb has been installed. You can reset the lamp timer of a Samsung HDTV in activating the service menu. This must be done immediately after the new bulb has been installed.

1 Aim the Samsung remote on the front of the Samsung HDTV--if you know where the infrared sensor on the the front of the Samsung remains located, aim the front of the remote directly at it.

4 Press the “Down” route pad on the remote to select “Option” from the list of options that is appear on the screen. Press the “Enter” button on the remote.

5 Select "Reset lamp timer" from the list of selections presented on the screen. Press the "Get into" key on the remote.

6 Turn away the HDTV along with the remote’s Power button. Do not turn the HDTV again on till on least five minutes have passed.

Tips & Warnings

Substitute the "Menu" key for the "Mute" key if the service menu does not begin awake.
