Understand what to do to avoid points on your driving report. CarInsurance.

Licensed Florida drivers might own points accessed to their driving report if they receive a ticket. These points can influence insurance rates plus penalties for any further traffic violations. If you plead guilty and fork out the fine for a traffic violation, the court will appraise points. If you attend traffic school, you may avoid the points.

Difficulty: Easy

Instructions

1 Visit the Florida Department of Drive Automobile website. Evaluate the "express approved traffic school courses." Read the details of every course. Pick out one of the five approved courses based on the kind of ticket received.

2 Click "Sign Upward for Net Course Right now" or choose a place to take the course. Pay for the course along with a credit or debit card. Finish the course within the allotted time because outlined in the terms of the course. If you fail the test, you may retake it until you pass.

3 Keep the certificate mailed to you, proving you passed the program. The school will notify the court regarding the course completion to stay clear of points.

Tips & Cautions

You are allowed to attend any traffic school or driving school once every 12 months plus five times overall as indicated through the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles internet site. Florida regulation does not allow driving schools or traffic schools to remove points for any out-of-state tickets.
